New requirements for the Friends of Long Beach Animals Ralphs and Food4Less donation program

Buy Your Groceries at Ralphs and help the Friends!

If you have a Ralphs or a Food4Less card you can help the Friends and it won't cost you a dime.  Every time you use your Ralphs or your Food4Less card or give your phone number for your Ralphs or Food4Less discount, 4% of your purchases will be sent to the Friends!  If you spend over $500 in one month (maybe December?) then 5% of your purchases over that amount will be sent to the Friends. 

To those of you who have supported us through this program in the past, Ralphs and Food4Less are making some changes and are asking that all participants renew their commitment to the Friends by following the directions below.  You must re-enroll each year to have a portion of your purchases donated.  Please help us keep this source of funds flowing.

1.  Log on to www.ralphs.com
2.  Click on "Community Contribution" in the blue box on the left 3.  Click on "Participant" and fill in requested information

Please enter 84713 in the NPO # field.  That will identify Friends of Long Beach Animals as the recipient of your donation.  If you click on "help" beside the NPO number field and type in "Friends of Long Beach Animals" you will see our number come up. (If you don't know your Ralphs club card number, click on "help".  The instruction says to phone 1-800-660-9003 to obtain the number....it works.  The procedure is painless.  And it is the same 800 phone number if you are a Food4Less customer.)

If you signed up with us last year or even last week you will still need to log on to www.ralphs.com and fill out the form.  They are asking everyone to re-enroll.  If you have not participated in the past this is a great opportunity to start.  The new program began September 1st, so don't delay, please sign up today and swipe your card when you shop at Ralphs or Food4Less.

Ralphs has been a great supporter and sponsor of the Friends.  For the last several years it has been the Title or Platinum sponsor for our annual Walk to Save the Animals.  Let's all support Ralphs and Food4Less by shopping there!!

• “Medical and Toy Fund” - Help the animals at Long Beach Animal Control.
• “SNIP” – Spay Neuter Incentive Program.
• “WALK for the Animals” – if you can’t attend, you can still help by donating.
• “Humane Education” – our program free to LBUSD schools to teach children care and kindness to all animals.
• “Membership Dues” - Become a member – see above.
• Donate your car, boat or RV. Call 562-988-7647 to find out how. You benefit with a tax write-off, and the animals benefit from the donation.

Send cash/checks to “FOLBA” and write in the memo line to which program you would like to donate. If you don’t know which program to choose, just indicate “Use Where Needed.”
